Mr Tele'a tatau

Our extension group has been researching the pacific to give us a better understanding of there meaning. I learnt a few new things about the tatau and how it show's what role you have in the family. I also learnt new words like the word va'a which means canoe in the samoan language. In our last extension session Mr Tele'a attended so we could see a tatau in real life so we could make examinations.

In our last extension session Mr Tele'a attended so we could see a tatau in real life so we could make examinations. I found it very interesting on what we were shown, It had incredible detail and structure. Mr tele'a mentioned that the last and most memorable part of the tattoo was the belly button.

The stage I am up to in my project would be creating my tattoo. I have almost finished my tattoo design. I think the finished design will look really good.

Camp

The campsite was called marsden bay christian camp. The grass there was amazingly green and soft. There were a few prickles but it still had nice scenery. They had these cool towering trees.

At camp there was a pretty cool waterslide it was kind of long and high. It went faster than I expected. On my first slide I reached the mud at the end. My favourite form of entry was the dolphin dive.

Another fun activity was surf education. Our instructors names were Chris and nick. Before we did anything they took us on a tour around the clubhouse. Chris took the boys and nick took the girls. We first went up to the lookout and used the binoculars then we went down to see the IRB inflatable rescue boat.
