Mr Tele'a tatau

Our extension group has been researching the pacific to give us a better understanding of there meaning. I learnt a few new things about the tatau and how it show's what role you have in the family. I also learnt new words like the word va'a which means canoe in the samoan language. In our last extension session Mr Tele'a attended so we could see a tatau in real life so we could make examinations.

In our last extension session Mr Tele'a attended so we could see a tatau in real life so we could make examinations. I found it very interesting on what we were shown, It had incredible detail and structure. Mr tele'a mentioned that the last and most memorable part of the tattoo was the belly button.

The stage I am up to in my project would be creating my tattoo. I have almost finished my tattoo design. I think the finished design will look really good.

The storyline festival

On Thursday last week we went to the storylines fest. If you don’t know what this is it is a festival about authors for kids.

The authors that I thought were funny would have to be Juliette MacIver and Jill MacGregor. I thought Juliette MacIver was funny because the way she came across was a bit odd but overall she was a good author. I enjoyed Jill MacGregor as well because a funny comment she made after telling us a story. “Don’t buy microwave popcorn because its probably contaminated”.

If I were a presenter of the festival I would have the illustrations of the book photocopied and put on the projector so we so we could see the pictures.

If I could ask them a question it would most likely be what process do you have to go through to publish a book.

Isara and Jacob Fat Piggie

Once upon a time, there was a fat pig called Mr Bing.

He lived in a stinky sty in the zoo with piglings. He was able to fly although no one even knew.

But the zoo keepers would give him bad food which would made him do a runny poo.

He was very embarrassed about his problem ,so he flew away and became baalim.

He met a female goddess named Pigthena and had all the food that you could ask for. The End.

badminton

Four weeks ago room fourteen went to our first lesson of badminton. Before our lesson room 16 were there. The instructor that was teaching us how to play badminton was named Lorene.

First we had to sit down so that Lorene could tell us what her instructions were that we had to follow. After she told us her instructions were we were aloud to get a racket.I got a black red racket it looked brand new.then every one got a shuttle so we could play.Lorene asked us if we could hit the shuttle three times in the air and put the racket under your legs and bounce the shuttle without dropping it.The first few times I dropped it and then I the hang of it.

Lorene said that when she says shuttle we would have to stop. Then we were aloud to get a partner.Me and Jayden were partners.Jayden was really good at it when he closed his eyes but when I had a go with my eyes closed I was hopeless.”SHUTTLE”said Lorene every thing stopped and went quite.Oh no was this the end of the lesson was It finished how could I tell.
